Rowing News:
We've almost finalised plans for our big event on Feb 24th and 25th, the SMRC Head of the River.
Typo? Nope, this year's HoR is a 2-day event. It's a new format and we'll have all the details on our website SMRC.ie RowingIreland.com and on social media this coming week. In addition to 2 days of rowing, we're inviting everyone to come along to Cobblestone Joes, Ellen St., on the Saturday evening to warm up, have some hot food and we can now confirm that SMRC ex-member Brian O'Connor will be flying in from Sweden to play a gig for us.
Meanwhile, the always excellent ROWfit Indoor Rowing Championships is in UL Arena this coming Saturday. It's a highly competitive event for all types of athletes, not just rowers, and our coach Joe Cantillon does an excellent job running it, with competitors from all over Ireland taking part. See you there...
We'll also be competing at the Kerry Head of the River on January 27th in Killorglin.
