Rowing News:
As another season draws to a close, St Michael's would like to thank all our rowers and coaches for their commitment and dedication throughout the season. We may not have those elusive pots to celebrate after the Champs but we had a great season with many successes.
A huge thank you to all the support team including those who rowed the trailers to events and in and out to OBB. Well done to the 2017 committee, the club has never looked so well or been so well equipped for the crews.
Thank you also to the parents and families for their understanding and patience for the early starts, the wet training gear and the dramatic increase in the household budget assigned to pasta.
It takes an army to keep this club going from strength to strength and we appreciate everyone's efforts.
Time now to unload the trailer, take a break and enjoy the summer sun. We'll be back for another round of madness, building on the past season, maintaining what we do well and improving on the areas that need improving on. We will be back bigger, stronger and better season on season.

Our Masters are far from finished, and they're in training for the World Rowing Masters Regatta in Bled in September. So, see the next piece...
St. Michael's Inaugural Masters Regatta 2017:
St. Michael’s are excited to announce our first Masters Regatta will take place on Saturday August 26th from 6-9pm in Limerick City. The Regatta is being run to cater for the increased numbers of Masters crews and it will greatly aid the race preparation for the Irish crews competing at World Rowing Masters Regatta in Bled in September.
St. Michael’s success both on and off the water is down to our strong volunteer network and it’s for this reason we’re contacting everyone. The Masters regatta needs volunteers to run the event successfully and to show to the rowing community and the people of Limerick just what we are capable of.
We have a small sub committee formed of Club Secretary & self appointed Masters Regatta Chairman Brian 'Notions' Richardson, Masters Rower and Cox Billy Carmody and Masters Rower Mike McDonagh. They are finalising the regatta plan with a list of tasks to be completed. Each task need an owner who’ll take responsibility for completing the list of jobs and communicating out to the committee group.
Many hands make light work so if you have some time and energy to give to what will be a fantastic few hours of racing in the city centre then let us know.
Summer Camps:
Our camps will start on two dates in July and August.
- Camp 1: Monday July 31sth @ 11:00 am - Thursday 3rd
- Camp 2: Monday Aug 14th @ 08:30 am - Thursday 17th
Cost: €100 for first child and €80 thereafter.
