Rowing news: Well done to all our crews who competed at the National Rowing Championships this weekend, you did your best and no more could be asked of you. You did your club proud. And congratulations again to our j15 women who won their coxed quad event.
To all our Coaches, Thank You for your commitment, dedication and countless hours that you have invested in the development of our athletes throughout the year. And finally, thank you to all the support volunteers who are an important part of the
SMRC team. Enjoy the well earned break before we start all over again, exciting times ahead.

Urban Run 2016:
We’re delighted to announce the date of this year’s Urban - October 9th. This is the biggest non-rowing event in our calendar and takes a massive effort. We hope you’ll get on board for the 10k run or 5k run/walk this year. It’s a real family day out for many people, and also a serious event for the high end athletes who compete on Munster’s flattest course. Many PB’s (personal best) are recorded which is a bonus.
We’ve secured a great main sponsor to help with running costs (haha!) and are also looking for smaller sponsor contributions to help offset the considerable expense of running such a large event. There will be a general call for volunteers also, who are vital to the success of the run.
There will be an official launch too and we'll let everyone know when it's coming up.
We look forward to a great day, but for now, all eyes are focused on the Champs on the 15th.
The SMRC lotto is a vital part of our fundraising plans, and in particular for our new slipway project as 100% of the lotto proceeds are ring fenced for this urgent construction. Thanks to everyone who has joined for the first time since the relaunch in January and also to those of you who renewed recently. Every one of you is very welcome.
