INTERCOUNTY: Well done to Paudie Ahern who made his league debut with the Limerick senior hurlers last weekend. Limerick drew with Wexford 1-19 to 2-16 and meet Dublin in the final this Saturday at 7pm with Thurles being the likely venue. Hard luck to Denis O’Dea who was involved with the Limerick U-21 footballers who lost out to Cork last Wednesday evening in the Gaelic Grounds.

CHILD PROTECTION COURSE: The Club are running a Child Protection Course in Cill Bhride or the Teach on Monday April 8 from 7pm to 10pm. This course is aimed at all coaches and people involved with training and teams and is a very worthwhile course and should be attended by anyone involved with coaching children. U-15 FOOTBALL: Our U-15 footballers were the first team in action this year when they travelled to Kilbeheny to take on Galtee Gaels. We started well as Sean Mcarthy scored some excellent points and Eamon Murphy grabbed a goal to leave us 1-6 to 0-0 ahead at the break. Eamon Murphy scored another goal followed by one from Jamie McCarthy and an excellent point from Brian O'Grady to leave us winners by 3-8 to 0-3. Team: Brian O‘Grady, Daniel Gleeson, Eamonn O’Regan, Sean O’Grady, Rian O’Dea, Stephen O'Dea, Fionn Murphy, Sean McCarthy, Declan Kenny, Eamonn Murphy, Dylan Holmes, Jamie McCarthy, Craig Thompson.
JUVENILE TRAINING: Training for our U-6 to U10 has changed to Thursday evenings in the field from 6.30 to 7.30pm ,new players always welcome.
JUVENILE COACHING: Well done to Denis Ahern, Mark Murphy and Pat Ryan who recently completed the Level one coaching course.
GUMSHIELDS: Gum shields are compulsory for all juvenile players up to and including minor level. All players must wear gum shields in training and matches. Gum shields are available from the club for just €2.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP: Club membership is now due for the 2013 season. Adults €30. Students / Unemployed / OAP’s €20. Juveniles €10. Payment can be made to any of the club officers or online at www.kdgaa.ie.
