Juvenile Club AGM: The juvenile club AGM took place last Friday night in Cill Bhrìde, chairman Pat Ryan thanked all for attending and thanked all the people who helped the club throughout the year. Secretary Noel O'Dea outlined what happened in the club throughout the year. The main items of discussion was the affiliation of teams, we like most clubs are struggling for numbers but it looks like we will be able to field 11-a-side teams in almost all age groups. The Feile which is to be held in Limerick this year will be held over the
weekend 5/6/7 July, we will be hosting a club so parents are asked to keep this weekend free. Gumshields are now compulsory in football for all age groups since January 1st this year. There will be a meeting soon to outline our plans for the Feile and all parents are urged to attend this meeting.
Juvenile Club Officers: Officers elected were at the AGM were as follows: Chairman: Pat Ryan, Vice-Chairman: Tommy O'Dea, Secretary: Noel O'Dea, Assistant Secretary: Paddy Walshe, Treasurer: John O'Dea, Child Welfare Officer: Breda O'Grady, School Liaison Officers: Caroline McCarthy, John O'Dea. Committee: Mark Murphy, Anthony McCarthy, Eibhear O'Dea.
We are looking for more parents to join the club committee this year and get involved with the running of the juvenile club, all are welcome and if you are interested, please contact any of the officers listed above.
Club Membership: Club membership is now due for the 2013 season. Adults €30. Students / Unemployed / OAP’s €20. Underage €10. Payment can be made to any of the club officers. We will also set up the option to pay online for any potential members, visit www.kdgaa.ie for more information.
Milford 10k: The Milford 10k run / walk took place last Sunday and we had over 30 participants. It was a great response from the people in the parish and all monies raised are going towards an excellent cause. Well done to all who took part in the event.
County Panels: Club players Paudie Ahern and Denis O’Dea are currently involved with the Limerick Senior Hurling and Football Panels. We would like to wish both lads the best of luck and hope that more club players will be reaching this level in the future.
Club Match’s on Video: We are currently gathering all old video footage for matches and events that took place in the 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s. We will be able to copy the video footage and create DVD’s aswell as putting the matches up online. If you have an old video of a game or event, email pro.kdgaa@gmail.com or contact any of the club officers. We will return the video to you once we have completed the project.
