U13 Hurling

On Monday last we took on a very strong Shamrock Gaels team in Kilteely. Despite putting in a very spirited performance we went down by 2.8 to 0.4,with our points coming from Sean McCarthy, Brian O'Grady and Jack Franklin. The following Thursday we travelled to Bruree to take on the local side, Sean McCarthy gave us the lead early on with a well taken free. Bruree piled on the pressure from here on and scored 1.3 without reply, it would have been more but for the heroics from Eoghan O'Dea in Goals. Soon after the break Bruree grabbed another goal to leave us 2.3 to 0.1 down. Our lads responded magnificently with Nicole Kenny and Shane O'Grady on top in defence. Brian O'Grady grabbed a goal and Sean McCarthy a point to narrow the gap. Young Jack "Donie" Franklin smashed in a great goal followed by a point to leave a point in it. Declan Kenny was now firing on all cylinders and grabbed a much deserved goal to put us ahead and Rian O'Dea soon added a great point to put us three up. Bruree bombarded our goal at the death but solid defending from our keeper and all the defenders held them out, final score Kilteely Dromkeen 3.3 Bruree 2.3. Team:Eoghan O'Dea, Nicole Kenny, Daniel Gleeson, Shane O'Grady, Conor Egan, Sean McCarthy, Rian O'Dea, Brian O'Grady, Declan Kenny, Dylan Holmes, Robbie Holmes, Shane Dwane, Jack Franklin, Josh Sheehan, Shannon McCarthy, Darragh Curtin, Andrew Lineham, Edward English, John Egan,

U12 Hurling

We made the trip to the all-weather pitch in UL on Friday evening for the Finals day of the U12 hurling. We took on Patrickswell and in a very entertaining game we finished all square. Well done to Pat Ryan, Tommy Kenny, John O'Dea and all who helped out during the year and special mention to Paudie Ahern who put in a huge amount of effort in coaching these lads and their improvement has been huge. Team : Josh Sheehan, Nicole Kenny, Edward English, Conor Egan, Eoghan O'Dea, Brian O'Grady, Robbie Holmes, Jack Franklin, Shannon McCarthy, Darragh Curtin, David Curtin, John Egan, David O'Connell, Dylan Sullivan.

U8 Hurling

We travelled to near neighbours Pallasgreen on Friday last for an U8 blitz. After three entertaining games all the players really enjoyed their games and were well marshalled by supremo Tommy O'Dea. Well done to Pallas for a well organised blitz. Team: Evan McCarthy, Grace Holmes, Abby Cosgrave, Danielle Ryan, Ashlinn O'Dea, Conaill McGuire, Kephas Purcell, Oran O'Dea, Tristian Cosgrave, Leon & Evan Horan, Charlie Holmes, Patrick O'Dea.

Junior Football

The footballers received a walkover from South Liberties on Friday night last. This is the second walkover the lads received in championship and reflects poorly on the organisation of the competition. It is surely time for the football championship to become an all-county competition as players and management go the whole summer without a game and end up with one championship game played in the middle of September. The footballers have one game remaining away to Ahane which is now a must win to qualify for the east final. The fixture details for this game will be confirmed later this week.

East Hurling Final

The hurlers play Doon on Saturday at 5pm in Caherconlish in the east final. Kilteely are looking for a third title in four years. The lads continued their preparations last weekend with a training game against Kilmallock. All support is welcome on Saturday. Best of luck to all involved.

Juvenile Training

Training continues every Monday evening in the local GAA field for U8's to U14's
