Junior A Football
Kilteely Dromkeen 0-07 Ahane 1-04.
The junior footballers played their first championship game on Saturday evening against Cappamore. Our lads we well on top throughout the first half but were unable to make their dominance count on the score board. At half time, we lead 3 points to no score. Two points from Brian O’Connell and one from Padraic Keogh.
Kilteely continued their dominance at the start of the second half. Barry O’Donnell kicked an excellent point to get us off to a good start. Cappamore had started to come into the game and registered their first point 5 minutes into the second half. The teams traded scores for a period of time and we led 0-6 to 0-3 with ten minutes to play. Cappamore were then awarded a penalty which they converted to level the game. We kept working hard and took the lead through a great point from Davy O’Neill. Cappamore levelled with a point late on leaving both teams with one point from the game.

The lads now have 3 points out of 4 on the board having received a walk over from Ballybricken last Thursday evening. We play South Liberties this week with the game provisionally fixed for Friday evening. Fixture detail to be confirmed and details will be sent out on club supporters text later in the week.
East Final
East hurling final is fixed for Saturday 15th September. Fixture details will be available next week.
