Cùl Camp

55 children enjoyed the Kellogg's Cúl Camp and Summer Activity Camp at Kilteely GAA field last week. The 32 boys and girls aged between 6 and 12 enjoyed their hurling and football sessions each day while the group of 23 children from 4 to 6 years of age were kept busy with a wide variety of indoor and outdoor games and activities in the Activity Camp. All children were presented with the lovely Cúl Camp kit. The Cúl Camp coaches were Aoife O'Malley, Damien Hickey and Tom Ryan under the supervision of Sean Herbert and assisted by Sean O'Dea of the local club. The younger children were looked after by camp organiser Noreen O'Dea, Siobhán Ryan, Caoimhe O'Dea and Eimear Daly. Local club man John O'Dea made sure that the club facilities were ready for the camps each day. Many thanks to all who made the camps such a success.

U14 Football

We travelled to Kilfinane to take on Blackrock in our last group match. The game started very evenly until two quick goals from Sean McCarthy gave us a good lead. From here on the lads were in control with scores from Jamie McCarthy, Matthew O'Dea and Declan Kenny and in defence Fionn Murphy, Daniel Gleeson and Calvin Murphy kept Blackrock at bay. We ran out winners by a large margin but Blackrock never gave up. Team: B O'Grady, D Gleeson, C Murphy, E O'Regan, F Murphy, M O'Dea, S O'Dea, S McCarthy, R O'Dea, J McCarthy, D Kenny, E Murphy, J Sheehan.

U12 Hurling

Our u12 hurlers took on Fedamore at home and played very well. Goals and points from Brian O'Grady and Jack Franklin and a couple of points from Nicole Kenny helped us to a big win. Others to impress were Daragh Curtin, Shannon McCarthy and Conor Egan. Final Score 6-06 to 0-02. Team: J Sheehan, E English, J Egan, S Dwane, C Egan, B O'Grady, N Kenny, D Curtin, D O'Connell, J Franklin, D Sullivan, S McCarthy

Juvenile Training

Every Monday 6.30-7.30 for U6 to U14s.

Junior Hurling

Our hurlers played Patrickswell in a challenge game on Sunday evening in Patrickswell. We were without many regulars for the game but had some excellent performances on the night. The game ended in a draw 0-15 to 1-12. Another challenge game has been arranged for Wednesday evening. The lads play Doon in the next round of the championship on the weekend of the 5th of August.

Community Festival

This weekend will be a quite one on the games and training front as the Kilteely Dromkeen community festival is taking place. A great weekend has been organised by the kdccc and we hope a good weekend will be had by all.
