U8 Football Blitz

We travelled to Hospital and had two very close and exciting games against Shamrock Gaels and Hospital with all the children enjoying the games. Team: Patrick O'Dea, Evan McCarthy, Leon & Evan Horan, Kate O'Meara, Grace & Charlie Holmes, Jake Miller O'Riordan, Kephas Purcell, Ashlinn O'Dea, Danielle Ryan. Well done to all.

U12 Football

Kilteely/Dromkeen 6.6 Monaleen B 3.3

We did most of our scoring in the first half of this game with goals from Dylan Sullivan, Jack Franklin and Robbie Holmes. Monaleen, with the aid of the breeze, came back into it in the second half with a couple of goals, but our lads defended very well, notebaly Conor Egan and Robbie Holmes. With Brian O'Grady excelling in midfield, we grabbed a few more scores from Eoghan O'Dea and Jack Franklin. Team: J Sheehan, E English, B Gleeson, C Egan, J Egan, R Holmes, B O'Grady, E O'Dea, D O'Connell, J Franklin, D Sullivan.

U14 Hurling

Bruree 3.3 Kilteely/Dromkeen 2.4

We had a great start to this game when Declan Kenny goaled after 2 minutes against county champions Bruree. Bruree responded with 2 goals of their own to take the lead. After this our boys fought back brilliantly and scored three point to leave it 2.1 to 1,3 at the break. Bruree goaled at the start of the second half but Brian O'Grady pulled a goal back for Kilteely but it wasn’t enough and we ended up losing by 2 points after a great team performance. Team: E O'Dea, D Gleeson, J McCarthy, C Murphy, E O'Regan, B O'Grady, S McCarthy ,R O'Dea, F Murphy, D Kenny, S O'Dea, C Egan, A Lineham, D Holmes.

Kilteely/Dromkeen 5.10 Caherconlish 1.2

Our lads put in a fine performance against a gallant Caherconlish side. Three goals from Stephen O'Dea and one each from Jamie McCarthy and Sean McCarthy in the first half put the game beyond doubt. We kicked some great points in the second half and some of our team play in the second half was excellent. Well done to all the lads who have working hard in training and are now seeing the results on the pitch. Team: D Holmes, C Murphy, D Gleeson, E regan, F Murphy, S McCarthy, B O'Grady, S O'Dea, R O'Dea, J McCarthy, D Kenny, A Lineham, E O'Dea, C Egan

U16 Football

Galtee Gaels 4.7 Naomh Brid 1.6

Our u16 footballers travelled to Kilbeheny for a tough game with Galtee Gaels. We had a lot of possession in the game but couldn’t convert to scores. Goals win games and Galtee Gaels got four in the end which proved to be the difference between the two teams.

U15 Hurling Challenge

On this Saturday July 7th our U15 hurlers will host Ballyheigue from Kerry in the local field at 3pm in a challenge game, all support would be great appreciated. It is hoped to make a return trip sometime in August when hopefully the weather will be better and we can head to the beach afterwards.

Junior Hurling Championship

The hurling championship begins this weekend on Saturday 7th against Ahane. The fixture details are to be confirmed and club text will be sent to supporters during the week. All support welcome.

Player Summer Work Scheme

The club are setting up a summer work scheme for players to help cope with emigration by offering services to local people. We will be setting up a base in Kilteely village. If you have any work that needs doing such as painting, power washing, cleaning, lawn cutting, any odd jobs big or small, contact the office and we will arrange for a player to call to you and carry out the work. We are also organising paper and card board recycling service, contact us if you have any items for recycling and we will arrange collection.

Long Term Employment Scheme

We are currently forming a group to look at all possibilities of creating sustainable long term employment in the community, attracting a new business to the area, or starting a new venture. If you have ideas or an opportunity, or would like to get involved then contact us. You can email secretary.kilteelydromkeen.limerick@gaa.ie or ring 061 951 222 .
