4. Tony Murray, Ileigh Road Last weekend was very much a mixed bag of results on the playing front.
On Saturday our Intermediate Camogie women won their first County final at that grade. After a terrific performance in the Ragg we beat Drom on a score line of 2-13 to 1-07.
Also on Saturday our under 16s were in their own County Final when we played Sean Treacys/ Emily in Drombane and after a fantastic display of hurling there was no separating the two teams and it finished Borris 3-11 to 1-17 after extra time.
And the last game of the weekend was our Seniors who were beating by the narrowest of margins when we went down to Burgess in the last 16 of the County on a score of 2-14 to 0-21. That ends our involvement this year but plenty to work on and look forward to next year. Next weeks draw takes place in Stapletons Bar, Pallas Cross and the jackpot is worth €3,000
