Last weekend our Junior As took pride of place in the club. Going into the weekend we had already qualified for the knock out stages of the North Championship but we had it all to do to go directly into a semi and avoid a quarter final. The maths were simple we had to win and win well, by a clear 17points or more to be exact. And after a very one sided game against Lorrha an injury time point guaranteed we reached our target, we won the game on a score line of 4-14 to 9points.
We await the quarter finals to be played now to see when, where and who we play in the semi.
We must also say the all our teams are performing extremely well at the minute and there is a real buzz around the club.
Our Minors are out in a North semi final this coming Monday evening when we play Nenagh in Dolla at 6pm.
And our Seniors are out Saturday week against Carrick Swans in a last 12 county match with the winners reaching a county quarter final. That match is on in Holycross with a 2.30pm throw in.
We know all of Borris will be out to support both teams in these two huge games for the club.
Next weeks draw takes place in Coffeys Bar and the jackpot is worth €4,800
