Our seniors have been drawn against Carrick Swans in the last 12 or the county Championship. This match takes place Saturday the 6th September in Holycross with a 2.30pm throw in. We hope everyone pencils this date into their diary and comes along to get behind the team.
Our junior As are out this weekend in their last championship group match, with qualification already guaranteed for the knock out stages a win is still crucial to have any chance to progress straight into a semi final and thus avoiding a quarter final spot.
Our minors were in hard luck last night in their final group match of the campaign, we travelled to Roscrea to play them and came out on the wrong side of a five point game. This leaves us waiting on one result to go in our favour to qualify for a North semi final, Roscrea play Kildangan next Wednesday evening and only a Kildangan victory can stop us from making the knock out stages.
All preparations are in place this weekend for the annual Mick Cowan Tournament. We welcome Moyne Templetouhy to Borris for the match that honours one of both clubs greatest players. All money raised on the day is in aid of the North Tipp Hospice so we hope to see a big crowd out to support this great cause and remember a true great of the game.
Next weeks draw takes place in Stapletons Bar, Pallas Cross, and the jackpot is worth €4,600
