Congratulations go out tonight to Peggy Treacy, Fantane, who was the lucky winner of our jackpot worth €12,400. Peggy choose the winning numbers correctly, which were, 01, 08, 10 and 23 and they were drawn in Coffeys Bar, Lower Main St. Best wishes to Peggy on her success and we have no doubt she will have plenty of help from her family on how to spend her windfall.
On the hurling front, our minors took pride of place this week with another terrific performance last night where we entertained Newport Gaels in our fourth championship match and we recorded a fantastic victory on a score line of 2-13 to 1-6.
Our Junior As are out tomorrow evening in our third championship match, we play Burgess in Moneygall with a 7.30pm throw in where a win would put us in a great position to qualify for the knockout stages. All support for the lads would be very much appreciated.
Our Seniors are out in competitive action Saturday week, the 10th, in Round 3 of the county qualifiers. We are up against Burgess in that match also and it takes place in Nenagh with a 7pm throw in. And we really hope to see a big turnout from the Borris crowd to support the lads in their push for glory.
Next weeks draw takes place in Stapletons Bar, Main St. and the jackpot starts at €4,000
