A huge congratulations goes out tonight to Fergal Nolan all the way over in London who was the lucky winner of our jackpot worth €12,800. Fergal has been a long time player of our lotto online and he is also our first jackpot winner to come from our online sales. The draw took place in Stapletons Bar, Pallas Cross, and the winning numbers were 04, 14, 20 and 25 Last weekend saw one of the proudest days in our club history play out as we were crowned Munster club champions for the second time after a hard fought one point victory over Waterford champions Ballygunnar. 33 years since our last victory at this level there aren't words to describe how proud the club is of this group of players and the management team around them. In terrible conditions for hurling and the playing surface cutting up severely the 60+ minutes of pure skill, determination and will to win this team showed was indescribable and there aren't words enough in my vocabulary that could do it justice. They now roll on to an All Ireland semi final where they will play Galway champions St. Thomas' with no definite fixture made yet but it will be played on the first weekend in January.
This weekend see's our under 21s kick start their north campaign when we play Lorrha Rovers in a north semi final at 2pm in Puckane and we hope to see another huge Borris crowd there as we try to build on the great feeling we have in the club. Next weeks draw takes place in Coffeys Bar and the jackpot is worth €2,000.
We hope all our lotto players will continue to support the lotto as it is a terrific source of income for the club and at a time when we are going so well both on and off the field our income from the lotto is a huge bonus as it helps us to cover so much of our running cost for the club.
