The Gathering
Well last weekend finally arrived and the Streete Parish Schools gathering took place. It was a HUGE success with people coming from the states, Australia, England, Wales and every pocket of Ireland. Over 350 people sat for a great meal in the Sports Complex and then there was LOTS of Ol, Ceol agus Craic until he very early hours of the morning. A BIG WELL DONE to all concerned, from everyone I have spoken to it was a great even.
Then Yesterday Sunday afternoon there was a concert to showcase all the local talent and it was a great display of music, dance, drama etc.
Streete Bowls Club
The winter league has started and Streete have got off to a very good start. Hopefully they will be able to defend their title and hold it for another year.
Streete Wildlife Club
Streete Wildlife club had their members shoot last Saturday, there was a good turnout and even though the weather was a little damp the craic was mighty and there was good sportsmanship and shooting shown by all involved.
The prices will be given out next Friday along with the longest pheasant , the biggest spurs and of course Club person of the year in the cornmill pub.
We wish all the members a enjoyable and very safe season which starts next Friday morning.
