As usual there was a good turnout for bingo, however the jackpot was never under any pressure this week as all numbers were called on the two lines. Next weeks jackpot finally reaches the max of a whopping € 20K.............................make sure that you tell your family and loved ones to make sure they are in streete parish park next Monday night at 8.30pm.............if you are not playing you have no chance of getting your hands on that cool € 20,000.
Streete Vintage Day
Yes it is that time of year again, the Annual Vintage Day is next Sunday 14th of July. This is the biggest event of the Sports Complex calendar and with the weather we are getting at the moment it will be one of the best days in a good few years. All the usual stands will be back this year with lots of new things to see also, and of course if you are into vintage cars and tractors well then this will be just for you. This year there is also going to be a horse shoeing demo, this will give an insight of how it was done years ago. So lots of suncream and bring all the family out next Sunday.
The Streete Gathering
Kevin Brady and Pat Duffy are working hard on the parish of Streete all school reunion. They tell me that there is a lot of interested and it is shaping up to be a great night. This all takes place on Bank Holiday Weekend 26th of October 2013..............if you know of anyone who ever went to school in the parish of Streete please do make contact with either Kevin or Pat and they will track them down.
The Granda Festival
A very well done to all concerned with the running of the first ever Granda Festival in Granard last weekend. It was a Huge success and has paved the way to this great event becoming an Annual event. Well done, all the hard work paid off.
Finally next Saturday evening will see the 2 nd Philip Moran Memorial Tractor Run. This run will start at 4pm from the sports complex and will return around 6pm, there will be a BBQ and music in the park afterwards till around 9pm.............this would be a great evening for all the family to come out and have a nice relaxing evening. All donations on this evening will go to charities. Please do come out and support.
