There was No winner of this weeks lotto. It now stands at a beautiful € 10,200. That would make a very nice Christmas Present.
Bingo
There was a huge turnout to bingo tonight. The Jackpot of € 16,600 is there again for next week. It is there to be won so why dont you make sure next week that you are in with a chance and come along and play.
Streete Wildlife Club
Well another season started last Thursday. There was over 150 phesents released in the area a couple of months ago. Most of them are still safe and sound after all were out over the weekend.
The yearly competation for the longest phesent took place in the cornmill Pub. The longest cock in the club belonged to the Club Chairman Padraig Mc Gauran. :-) Well done to all who went out and had a good safe day.
Pride of Place
Streete Parish got runner up in the national finals of the Pride of Place competation. A very big thanks and well done to EVERYONE who helped out. Hopefully next year even more locals will get onboard and help put our great parish on the map.
Parent and Toddler Group.
I ahve been asked if I could let all the parents and toddlers in the parish about the parent and toddler group which takes place in St Mary's Hall Rathown, it starts back tomorrow morning Tuesday from 10.30am to 12.30pm. All are Welcome. Children enjoy activities, juice and biscuits, while the adults enjoy a cuppa and a chat as well as joining in the fun with all of the children. All of this for only €2.
Streete Bowls Club
The season is now well started, Streete A is still topping the competation at this early stage, Best of luck to the club and hopefully they will bring home sliver wear this year. Martin Gaynor reminds us that the club is always open to new members and can come down for a watch and a game any Tuesday night from 8pm.
Walk Way
Well the walkway is been well used by both young and old from all over the parish. The flood lights is due to be up and running in the next week. This will be great as people will be able to walk up to 9pm at night. However the running cost of these lights will need support. It is HOPED that people who are happy to use the great facility might consider buying a yearly ticket in our lotto.
