SENIOR

Creggs RFC  29,   Buccaneers RFC  18.
Our First Team secured a good home League semi-final with a good win over Buccaneers on Sunday in Creggs. Picking up the winning bonus point to go top of the Connacht J1A League, there were tries from the captain Brian Diffley, Ronan Cahill, Tom Callaghan and Mark Purcell, with the  remaining nine points from the boot of Shane Purcell.
The First team have next weekend free and will then play Castlebar RFC in Creggs on Sunday week in the last pool stages match of the Connacht J1A League.

Carrick On Shannon RFC  30,  Creggs Development 25.
The Development team travelled to Carrick On Shannon for their Connacht J1C League game, also on Sunday. Although losing to the home side, Creggs picked up a losing bonus point and score three tries in what was a good performance. Two tries from Brian Cleary and one from John Martin, with the remaining ten points from the boot of Michael Holland.
Credit to all concerned that the club fielded two good teams on Sunday with all the Covid issues everywhere.
The Development team travel to play Ballinasloe RFC next Sunday for their next Connacht J1C League game.
