What a week for the club: Senior Men Championship winners 2013 Senior Ladies Div 2 & 4 League Winners 2013 U16 Boys Championship winners 2013 It's doesn't get much better than that and best of luck to our Senior Men that move in the Leinster competition.
Well done also to our U11 Boys & Girls that played in the Louth Gathering blitz in Darver last Saturday morning. Also competing in the 5km Louth Gathering Fun Run were Mags Nugent (Ladies Winner) and Evelyn Connor, well done.
The Newtown Blues C.L.G. are supporting the Carl McCormack Memorial Fund. Carl played with the Newtown Blues at all age levels and was a prominent committee member of our club until his sudden death. He was remembered on Sunday as the Blues U16 Boys team won the championship wearing new jersey's sponsored by areyouok.ie. Carl himself was part of the U16 Blues Championship winners back in 1988 and it was a fitting that our members remember him along with his family in an effort to increase awareness with people young and old that you are not alone.
Other News: All the silverware will be down the pitch on Wednesday night (9th Oct) from 7-8pm for all to see.
