There were two match three winners, who shared €150: Ger and Laura Kavanagh, Ballybit,(2-9-12-25) and Sharon Byrne, 5 Bramble Court, Tullow (9 – 12 – 22 – 25). ). Promoter`s prize €20 was won by Martin Curran. Slaney Win in Ballymurphy-The 23/24 season finally kicked off with a visit to Ballymurphy in the Div. one league. The Bally Boys went closest to opening the scoring early on, when a header from a corner rebounded to safety off the crossbar, whereas five minutes later, a Slaney corner whipped in by Brandon Ryan, was headed home by Eoin Curran. Bally responded with an equaliser minutes before half time. Both sides had opportunities to score after the break, with Slaney taking theirs, with Kyle Byrne getting the final touch to nick all three points in their opening game.
