Jackpot €20.000 was not won. Lotto numbers drawn on Tuesday 6 June were 2, 17, 20 and 23. There were three match three winners, who shared €150: Bridget Harmon, Kiltegan (2-17-23-25); Mary and Molly, Knocklishen, Rathvilly (2 - 3 - 20 - 23) and Michael (Flash) Byrne, Kiltegan (17-20-23-30). Promoter`s prize €20 was won by Anthony Byrne, Woodgrove Avenue, Rathvilly. Over 35`s - Crettyard Utd. 0 - 1 Slaney Rovers…….The lads started brightly and a double block from the home keeper denied Dominic Byrne and Daniel O`Brien early on. Fifteen minutes in, a Blaine Cosgrave shot rebounded to safety off the crossbar. Cretty weathered the early storm and came more into the game, forcing two fine saves from keeper Fergal Harmon and honours were even at half time. The breakthrough and defining moment of the game came mid-way in the second half when Daniel was fouled just outside the penalty area, he dusted himself down and found the top corner from a well-executed free-kick. The expected late Cretty charge nearly produced an equaliser but for a fine save by Fergal between the sticks. A Slaney team leaving Crettyard with full points is about as rare as hens teeth but it was worth the wait! The 44th. AGM of Slaney Rovers AFC - will take place in the Harp Lounge on Saturday evening, June 17th. at 6pm. All members, intending members and supporters are invited to attend.
