Slaney got off to a great start when Ryan Kinsella slotted home in the fifth minute, an excellent through ball from Jack Corcoran. For the rest of the half, it was an evenly-matched game with the one goal separating the sides at half time. After the break, New Oak came back strong and equalised within five minutes from a fine finish from Sabastian Kahan and were denied two further efforts by keeper Peter Lawlor. Late in the game, Joe Kelly won back possession and slipped in Jack Lyons for the winner. Slaney Team of the Week (9) – Keeper: Peter Lawlor.
