U12`s Score Seven Against Killeshin -A first-half hat-trick from Kallan McCabe and two close-range finishes from Timmy Jackson, put Slaney in control to lead 5-0 at the break. To their credit, Killeshin responded in the second half with two fine finishes, while at the other end, McCabe and Adam Austin scored to win 7-2.

Slaney Men`s Team Win By The Odd Goal In Five – The visitors St. Joseph`s got off to a flying start and they scored direct from a corner on 16 minutes. The lead was short lived, however, as Owen Coleman was brought down for a penalty. Peter Kehoe stepped up, but his effort produced a fine save from the visiting keeper, but the rebound fell kindly to Peter and he slotted home the equaliser on 33 minutes. And just to prove that lightning can strike twice, St. Joseph`s scored again, direct from a corner on 42 minutes to lead at half time. A 66th minute equaliser, was the first goal from open play, as Josh Moore set up Brandon Ryan for a close-range finish. Both teams continued to push for the winner and it was the more experienced Slaney who found it when Owen and Peter combined well to set up Daniel O`Brien for the winner on 70 minutes.

Slaney Team of the Week (4) – Keeper: Thomas `Mossie` Keane. Defenders: Michael Griffin; Peter Kehoe, Will Darcy; Conor Robinson. Midfield: Flynn Boland; Robert Ryan; Daniel O`Brien. Forwards: Timmy Jackson; Kallan McCabe; Brandon Ryan.
