After the interval Fergal Harmon saved twice to keep Park` out and in the last ten minutes Lubomir latched onto a well placed pass from Daniel and his effort smashed off the crossbar as game ended scoreless. Fergal Harmon marked his 110 appearance between the sticks with another clean sheet bringing his total of clean sheets for the season so far at three – a new club record at premier league level. Slaney B team were also on their travels and notched up a notable victory over Hanover Harps B at the Plots. The lads took the game to Harps and were dominant for most of the first-half and got a deserved breakthrough on 27 minutes when an accurate corner from Colin Byrne found Jake Elliot, who headed home. The home keeper did well to save efforts from Ethan Smith and Jamie Byrne. Harps finish strong forcing Dermot Byrne into a couple of good saves and some resolute defending from Andrew Sibbald and Brandon Ryan secured all three points. Slaney Team of the Week (14) – Jan.
