On Sunday in the Premier division at Graiguecullen, a goal two minutes into added time won the points for St. Pats as Slaney were left to rue a couple of missed chances in a game where precious few were created. The lads dominated much of the first-half with no end result. Seanie Furlong did have a couple of half-chances, but blazed them over the bar. The second-half was a more even affair, but again chances were scarce, the best of them falling to Lubomir Lesko who dragged his effort off target and Seanie headed straight at the keeper. Slaney paid the price by conceding in added time. The B team did not fare much better after making the short journey across the Wicklow border to face Baltinglass B. In what was an evenly-contested first-half, Slaney applied the early pressure with both Adam Lawlor and Kyle Byrne going close to breaking the deadlock from close range efforts that went just wide of target.
