Lotto numbers drawn on Monday 7 January were 22, 23, 25 and 28. There was no Jackpot winner. As there were no match three winners, €150 was shared between five lucky dips:Sean Clarke,Waterstown; Niamh Curran, Eadestown, Donard; Jace, c/o Bruno`s Take Away; Adrian Gahan, Rathoe and the Gardiner Kids, 38 Father Cullen Terrace. Promoters` prize Anthony Byrne. After the X-mas break seniors got back to winning ways defeating Mill Celtic 3-1 in Rathvilly. The first half was an evenly-contested affair and it took a penalty to separate the sides as Dominic Byrne was upended in the box and he calmly slotted home on 31 minutes. Slaney doubled their advantage after fine build-up play between Paddy Farrell and Aaron Broughall was followed by a super finish from Andy Foley on 59 minutes. Slaney pushed on and added another when Eoin Curran blasted home from six yards on 68 minutes. Slaney U12`s got their first taste of competitive action on an astro-surface and passed with flying colours, winning 3 nil at Vale Wanderers in Leighlinbridge with goals from Daragh Corcoran, a brace from Conal Cullen and another clean sheet from Bryce Gardiner.
