Lotto numbers drawn on Monday 1 October were 10, 23, 24 and 26. There was no jackpot winner. Lucky dip winners, who shared €150 were: Bernie Pender, Rathvilly Pharmacy; Jason Byrne, 5 Bramble Court, Tullow; Shirley O'Neill, Ballyhackett; Jennifer Mernagh, Tobinstown, Tullow and Gemma Doyle, c/o Laura Kavanagh. Promoters`prize Michael Kehoe. The seniors kicked off their league campaigne with a 3-2 win over Crettyard B in Rathvilly. The Laois side got off to a dream start and were 2-0 up after five minutes. Slaney recovered from this setback and Daniel O`Brien drilled the ball home on 13 minutes. They were level on 24 minutes when Sean Furlong nodded home a cross by Stephen Farrell. After the break, Slaney dominated and they were rewarded with the winner- a delightful through-ball by Daniel O`Brien enabled Sean Furlong to chip the Cretty keeper to reward the efforts of Andy Foley, Paddy Farrell and Stephen Farrell.
