The lotto jackpot of €1,400 was not won. The numbers drawn were 17, 23, 25 and 29. As there were no match three winners, €150 was shared between five lucky dips: Danny Kehoe c/o Peg Kehoe; Trish Harmon, Kiltegan; Rachel Whelan, Michael Collins Park, Rathvilly; Pippa & Karen, c/o T. McCall and David Kelly, Ballyoliver, Rathvilly. Promoters` prize went to Edel Mc Grath. It took a very late penalty to secure premier side Crettyard Utd a semi-final spot in the Carlow shield in Rathvilly. Slaney started brightly and had the best of the chances in the first-half when a fine strike by Andy Foley brought out a great save from the visiting `keeper. Foley saw another effort go wide of the target. After the break Cretty took the lead forcing Slaney to respond ten minutes later, with Peter Kehoe showed great control in the box and drilled the ball home. Cretty took the lead again but back came Slaney and Daniel O`Brien put Foley in to blast home a deserved equaliser. However, Cretty had the last say with the late penalty.
