PARENTS ASSOC KNOCKAVILLA NS. THANKS. Thanks to all who supported the recent Cake sale and raffle in any way. The sum of 677 euro was raised and will be used by the Parents Association for school children’s activities and the associations running costs.
KNOCKAVILLA COMMUNITY COUNCIL The Council are starting their campaign to collect all used mobile phones to help us to get a defibrillator put in place in Knockavilla. We will be putting collection boxes in all the local shops in Knockavilla and Dundrum, and also in Knockavilla church to facilitate the collections. Remember, if any one receives a new phone over the Christmas maybe the old phone could be donated to this cause.
The council would also like to thank Santa for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit the children last weekend. Also thanks to the Garda Mick O’ Mahoney for organising the transport and to Michael and Charlie for their help with the lights, and Fas and Coillte for their help with the Christmas tree.
COMMUNITY TEXT ALERT. The committee would like to remind people that Community Alert is an important weapon for everyone to help combat rural crime in the parish. We would ask that everyone would remain vigilant in their areas, and be aware of any vehicles and passengers which may be acting suspicious. All information, including type of vehicle and registration can be phoned or by text to the community alert phone in strictest confidence.
BADMINTON.
Badminton continues every Monday and Thursday night from 8pm in the Scout Centre Dundrum. New members very welcome.
