U/21(B) Football
Pride of place this week goes to our U/21 footballers who had a great win over Golden Kilfeacle in the West final in New Inn on Saturday last. Despite a torrential downpour before throw in which caused soft under foot conditions,this was a cracker of a game in which both teams gave their all for their Parishes.
Kickhams trailed at the break by 0-6 to 0-5. The second half was an equally close game with Golden edging a few points ahead with ten minutes left , but our lads did not give up and fought back to level the game at the end of normal time on the score 0-9 to 0-9. Extra time was more of the same but in the second half our lads pulled away to deserevdly win on the score 1-14 to 0-13. Well done to all concerned on a fantastic victory.
