Great week-end on the field of play. Our U/21's footballers had a fine win over Whitehall/Colmcille in the championship well done lads. Our U/15's beat Skerrie Harps in the league and are now in the play off for the league against Naomh Olaf best of luck lads. The U/14s had a great win over Chucullainn to gain promotion next season. This was a great game of football with the Barrs down by six points with ten minitues to go but they showed great heart and spirit to come back and win by six points Go maire sibh ! Our presentation dinner takes place in the Carlton hotel Tyrellestown on December 2nd next. We are honoring three Cabra men on behalf of the community of Cabra who manage Dublin in Hurling and Gaelic football and also won Senior All Ireland medals for Dublin at our Annual Presentation Dinner Dance which is being held in The Carlton Hotel Tyrrelstown. The men are Sean Moyles who played and managed Dublin Hurlers in 1979-80 and won a Walsh cup Medal in 1966 for Dublin. Paddy Holden who won a minor football All Ireland in 1958 and All Ireland in 1963. Mickey Whelan who won two Senior All Ireland and trained and coached Dublin as well as been one of Pat Gilroys selectors this year. Also on the night is the presentation to our Senior Hurling team who won their first Senior Championship in 66 years which according to Newspaper pundits was the best Championship game in Dublin this year. There is a very good community angle to this story.
