Juvenile Presentation

We held our annual Juvenile Presentations on Sunday 12th November. The Club's gorwing numbers at the juvenile level meant the presentations were split into two sessions - primary and post-primary, with both seeing a large representation of players, family and friends to celebrate the 2023 season.

In the spirit of promoting participation and retention, the primary school children, who took part in over 100 Go Games throughout the season, received recognition for their effort and commitment, with medals handed out to all. We would like to extend a heartfelt message of thanks to them, their parents and mentors for their commitment to the Club, training and Go Games.

The Post-Primary session saw each team recognised for their commitment and performances in 2023, and in addition, a number of individuals were recognised for Player of the Year and Sportsperson of the Year.
  • U13 Boys POTY Paul Gilgunn
  • U13 Boys SPOTY Aodhan Bell
  • U14 Girls POTY Emma Burns
  • U14 Girls SPOTY Freya Marshall
  • U15 Boys POTY Pairic Quinn (D1) and LJ Holland (D3)
  • U15 Boys SPOTY Eoin Reid (D1) and John Connor (D3)
  • U16 Girls POTY Clara Milligan
  • U16 Girls SPOTY Orlagh Doran
  • U17 Boys POTY Shea Vaughan
  • U17 Boys SPOTY Harry McCarthy

RGU Senior and County Players Orla Boyle, Neva Louden and Caolan Mooney presented the awards.

The John Rice Trophy was awarded to Seamus Cahir for his outstanding commitment to juvenile teams in 2023.

After a difficult couple of weeks for Dpwnpatrick town and its traders, the RGU, committed to supporting the local community, invited our Club Gear provider and sponsort, McCartan Sports, who were impacted by the recent flooding in the town, to set-up a pop-up store and Christmas Club for the afternoon.

Comhghairdeas to all the teams, players, coaches and mentors on a very enjoyable season. We look forward to welcoming you all back in 2024 and as always, welcome any new members.

Please Note

The prize amounts above are what each winner will receive.
