COACHING MASTERCLASS - MICK BOHANOn Saturday morning we held a Coaching Masterclass with coaching legend Mick Bohan. Mick was able to pull on his vast knowledge and experience of coaching Dublin GAA for many years. It was a really information and practical session, miced with a good dish of Dublin humour. We're sure the coaches who attended will have taken great tips and ideasand will start to implement these and pass on to the next generation of players. Thank you to all the coaches both within the RGU and further afield who took part, but in particulat to Conor O'Neill, part of our senior management team for organising what was a really beneficial event.
Senior Men: RGU 0.12 v Glenn 1.09 Senior Ladies: RGU 3.08 v Carryduff 4.07 Both our senior teams played at home this weekend. The senior men failed to hold onto their lead on Friday night, allowing Glenn to come from behind to snatch a late draw. A depleted ladies team took on Carryduff at home on Saturday evening. Both teams put in hardworking performances and fought out a close encounter. After picking up a few injuries in the second half, the young Hoops eventually fell to a 2 point defeat. A special mention to Orla Curran and Ella Telford on making their senior debuts, with Orla capping her with a well taken goal. Next-up is Castlewellan at home on Thursday evening.
