The dust is beginning to settle after the Senior RGU Men’s team were unceremoniously put out of the Championship by Down CCC. The Club had twice agreed to postpone their qualifier game due to a bereavement in the Carryduff club. The PHA decreed that the club had a “cluster” of Covid cases once we had two players test positive, this meant we couldn’t fulfil our fixture within the designated 72 hours. Unfortunately common sense and compassion have no place in the rule book. The Senior Ladies suffered a heavy defeat on Saturday away to red hot favourites Bredagh.
The Minor boys went out of their championship on Tuesday away to Castlewellan so that is their season over. The U-16 girls had a great win on Sunday at home to Castlewellan and progress in this competition.
The U-14 girls B team won a very entertaining encounter against Ballykinler last Wednesday.
Our U-13 boys move to the knockout stages of their championship despite a reversal away to Bredagh. They now have a tough semi-final away to Bryansford this Saturday.
The U-11.5 boys had good wins on Saturday as they approach the knockout stages.

This week’s lotto numbers drawn by Roisin Polly were 7, 13, 20 and 21. There was no jackpot winner, but 6 share £100. The new Jackpot is now £5000.
