There was no winner of the jackpot prize of €17,000. The numbers drawn in the first draw were 1, 16, 20, 27. Numbers in the second draw were 4, 17, 23, 26. Numbers drawn in the third draw were 8, 13, 20, 22. Winners of the €25 prizes were Anna Moore, Tom Malacka, Mary Walker, Dolly Howe And Jenny Robothom. Promoters prize went to Mary V. Dillon.
Under 10's opened their Div 1 league campaign with a great win over Castledermot. David Sutton was in great form and scored two goals in the first half and added another in the second, with Sam Jordan and Owen Foy scoring the other goals. This was a team performance with great work in defence by Aaron Dunne and Aaron O’ Keefe O’ Reilly and Conor Smith. Stephen Crowley and Kallum Ennis were on top in midfield and gave great supply to the forwards. Owen Foy and Nicole Dooley and Owen Sethright all played their part. Castledermot came more into the game in the second half but Suncroft were too good on the night. Final score Suncroft 5-8 Castledermot 3-5.
U12's had their first league match in Div. 1 on Thursday night last. They were up against a strong Moorefield side. Suncroft took their time to get going as Moorefield had the better of the first half. Suncroft finally got going in second half and put two goals past Moorefield, with Owen Lawless converting a great team move into a goal. Suncroft were going for the win but ran out of time with game ending a draw. Best for Suncroft Owen Lawless, Eoin Troy, Christian Philips and Ryan Campion. Final Score: Suncroft 2-3 Moorefield 1-6.
U12's had their second match of week on Friday night versus Athy. They were denied two goal chances by the Athy goalie. Owen Lawless scored four points and along with Dean Walsh , Ryan Campion and Corey Stynes were best for Suncroft. Final score Suncroft 0-5 Athy 0-9.
U14s had are on a roll and continue their unbeaten run in Div 2 of league with a 2 point win over St. Laurences on Friday night last.
