Saturday night in Trim our Strictly Come Dancing Fundraiser we were running with Drumree GAA came to the fore with our large audience being wowed to a fantastic evening that seen lifts, twirls and side steps of the highest calibre. Congratulations our very own version of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers – Anthony Rattigan & Irene Rountree for winning the contest and a massive THANK YOU to all our dancers , choreographer Aisling Toher and the hard working committee that made this happen. Lastly a huge go raibh maith agat to everyone who bought tickets and sponsored dancers and came to Trim on Saturday night as without your generous support this would never have happened. Our Senior and Junior Teams were both in action on Sunday in Dunsany which featured a double header that seen both teams play Seneschalstown. Unfortunately our senior team got beaten by 3 points while our Junior team were well beaten by a very strong yellow furze outfit. Well done to Niall Hurley, Wesley Goodwin, Matthew Moyles & Michael McHugh for representing Meath in the U14 four county blitz that was held in Dunganny on Saturday. The Meath team performed very well winning four out the five matched they played.
