Our Intermediate Ladies are no longer Intermediate!

Last Sunday evening saw them face off against Dee Rangers in Ashbourne, the Winner to be crowned Intermediate Football Champions of 2020. A superb display in the first half of the game saw them take a commanding lead at half-time, 2-12 to 0-00. Dee Rangers to their credit came out fighting in the second half and despite scoring three goals it was always going to be a bridge to far. Our girls kept the scoreboard ticking and when Joseph Curran blew the full time whistle the scoreboard read 2-19 to 3-06. Well doe also to Niamh Gallogly who was named Player of the Match.

Cue the Celebrations & more importantly, Roll on Senior Football Next Year!

On Friday evening our Junior B Ladies took on Dunboyne in a relegation playoff. Despite being six points down at half time the girls fought back, put in a fantastic performance in the second half to come out the right side with the victory 4-13 to 3-12 securing their status of Junior B for 2021.

Saturday evening saw our Minor boys travel to Summerhill to play Summerhill in the MFC Semi-Final. Four points up at the first water break they didn’t slacken off, a blistering second period in the first half saw them sitting comfortably at half time 2-08 to 0-02. Things didn’t get any better for Summerhill, our lads kept the foot on the throttle, scoring another 1-09 in the second half running out winners in the end 3-17 to 1-06. Our lads know all to well that nothing is won yet & a MFC Final against Old Rivals St. Colmcille’s awaits. Best of Luck lads.

Tonight, Tuesday our U15 boys were in action against Rathkenny at home in the Semi-Final of the Championship. They gave it absolutely everything and fought to the very last whistle but unfortunately it just wasn’t to be. Final Score Dunshaughlin 2-09 Rathkenny 2-14. Head up lads, regroup and we will go again next year.

We had numerous other juvenile games throughout the week, great scores and skills were on show, well done to all.

All match reports for the above-mentioned games and more can be found on our Facebook page and Club Website.
