Results

Kicking us off this week are our Intermediate Ladies. They recorded a fantastic victory last Friday evening against near neighbours Ratoath in the 2nd Round of the Championship on a score line of 3-15 to 4-03. This leaves the girls on top of the table in Group A with 6 points. Our Junior B ladies came up against a strong Wolfe Tones outfit on Monday night last and were beaten on a score line of 4-09 to 0-11. The score line doesn’t reflect the effort the girls put in.

It wasn’t to be for our Men’s Senior or Second teams either. Our Seniors unfortunately didn’t take the chances that presented themselves and were narrowly beaten by St. Colmcilles last Saturday on a score line of 1-10 to 2-09. Our second team came a cropper against a strong Dunboyne outfit, despite leading by 6 at half time, facing a strong breeze the second half Dunboyne just had too much and ran out comfortable winners on a score line of 2-14 to 1-08.

Our Men’s 4th team were very unlucky also, on what wasn’t a pleasant evening for football, they were narrowly beaten by O’Mahoneys on a score line of 1-03 to 0-09.

Moving to our boys U15 teams, it wasn’t to be for our Premier Team who came up against a very strong St. Colmcille team and lost out on a score line of 5-17 to 1-03. Our second team on the other hand had a brilliant win against St. Vincents/Curraha on a score line of 5-14 to 3-06.

All match reports for the above-mentioned games and more can be found on our Facebook page and Club Website.

Monday August 10th @18:15 in Ballinrobe saw our own Cathal McCormack ride his first winner on the track when landing the “Yupana Inc California Handicap Hurdle” by 4 lengths on ‘Breezy Bell’ for nearby trainer Edward Cawley. Congratulations Cathal, keep up the great work!

Bingo

With regret, the club had to cancel last Sunday evenings Bingo night due to a technical fault with online tickets. We want to ensure that anyone who had bought tickets prior to the event will receive a full refund in the coming days.

Stay Safe,

Kind Regards,
