Many thanks to new subscribers Gerard Egan, Aidan Murphy and David O'Rourke who joined in the past week.

 

It was a great and historic weekend for Dunshaughlin na nOg as the club captured its first silverware - on the double! On Friday night the minors defeated Donaghmore/Ashbourne 1-14 to 1-05 in a thrilling Minor Football Final. Alan O’Briens goal lit up the second half and sent the black and ambers on their way to the first cup for Dunshaughlin na nOg.  The very next day the under 14s followed suit as they cruised to a win over St Colmcilles in the Under 14 Division 1B League Final. Many thanks to the large support on both occasions.

 

Our Race Night in the Arch Bar on Friday night was a great success. Many thanks to everyone who supported the evening be it by attendance on the night, sponsorship of ads in the Race Night booklet or by donating a spot prize. The evening itself was an outstanding success, the Arch Bar was packed to the rafters with enthusiastic punters and MC Dominic kept the crowd entertained throughout. All the money raised through this event will fund the juvenile section of Dunshaughlin GAA

 

There is adult championship action this week with the Junior B Team playing Clonard in Longwood at 7.45 tomorrow (Tuesday) night. The seniors are then out on Sunday against Rathkenny in Simonstown at 5.00. Best of luck to both teams

 

As you know, 10th May 2009 has been set aside as Lá na gClub or Club Day as part of the GAA 125 years anniversary celebrations. The 125 Committee are hard at work organizing what will be fantastic club day filled full of fun events. Full details are on www.dunshaughlingaa.com
