Cardiac screening: It was suggested at a County Board meeting that clubs should consider arranging Cardiac screening for their members. This is not covered under the players’ injury scheme. AMS provides screening at€67.50 per member. It is free for anyone with LAYA Health Insurance while people with other health insurance may be able to claim a % back at the end of the year. It is also tax deductible. If there is sufficient interest AMS will attend at the club and each screening takes 20 minutes. The minimum number for a session in the club is 25 and they can screen individuals from age 12+. If interested in a club based screening contact club secretary Jim Gilligan at 086-8291816 or e-mail secretary.dunshaughlin.meath@gaa.ie. AMS, Advanced Medical Services can be contacted at 086-4673320 or 1890 300 333.
