Presentation Night

A great night of celebration was held in the Black Bush Golf club when the Club acknowledged the great achievements of players and club members alike. At the outset a special award was made to the ever youthful and popular Christy Purcell who celebrated a significant milestone birthday this month. The compere for the night was Brendan Cummins and the awards were presented by Ferghal Harney, Chairman, Meath LGFA and our own All Ireland winner, Richie Kealy.

The awards on the night were presented to;

    • Royal Gaels Division 5 FL winners 2017,

    • Niamh O’ Sullivan (Captain), Orlagh McLaughlin & Niamh Gallogly, Meath Intermediate Team, All Ireland Semi Finalists & Leinster Winners 2017,

    • Laura Quinn, Kelly O Dwyer & Rachel Huijsdens, Meath Minor, All Ireland Finalists 2017.

    • Matthew Costello, Meath Under 17 Leinster Winner,

    • John Davis, Meath All Ireland Winning Camogie Manager 2017,

    • Trevor Dowd and Ray Maloney on playing over 100 Senior Football Championship games with Dunshaughlin.

The night was rounded off when the prestigious Hall of Fame award was announced and presented to a surprised Paddy O Dwyer. Paddy has served the Black and Amber for fifty years in many roles as player, manager, referee, secretary and chairman. In conjunction with this, Paddy has also served as assistant secretary to the Meath County Board and Leinster Council delegate. He continues to serve on the Club Executive and on Meath County Board.   A fully deserved award to a great clubman who has served both club & county with distinction.
