Hard Luck
Hard Luck to Niamh O'Sullivan, Niamh Gallogy and Orlagh McLoughlin who lined out for Meath Ladies in the Intermediate All-Ireland Semi Final on Saturday. You should be proud of the year you have had. Results
SFC Dunshaughlin 0-12 St. Pats 1-10 Hard Luck
After a battling performance the Under 14s lost out to St Colmcilles in the Paddy O Brien Under 14 Cup Final last night by 4-12 to 3-7. Despite a good start with an early goal, Dunshaughlin came off second best to the exceptionally talented Seasiders, coached by ex Dunshaughlin player Jude McNabb. There was some consolation in the award of the Fairest and Best player to Aaron Murphy, who was at his skilful best at centre forward. Dunshaughlin GAA Social Group
Enjoyable outing by the Dunshaughlin GAA Social Group on Wednesday to the Athlone area. The thirty seven strong group's first stop was the Derryglad Folk Museum where the gang relived youthful days in the hayfield, bog and schoolroom. After lunch in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel in Athlone the crew exercised their water legs with a cruise on Captain Mike's Viking longboat from the centre of Ireland to the Hodson Bay resort. Fine sunny weather favoured the intrepid travellers and despite a suspiciously long delay in the 'toilet' in Longwood by two crew members all arrived home safely by 7 pm. Thanks to Dunshaughlin GAA for its support and the gang hope to have one more outing in September/October
