Race Night

We would like to thank everyone who attended our race night on Saturday night and who

helped organise, help out on the night and those who generosly donated our fantastic auction items.

A special thanks also to everyone who sponsored the event and who bought horses,jockey etc. This

would not have been possible without our fundrasing committee so a big go raibh maith agat to all involved

and also to Mick O'Brien and his staff for looking after us all on the evening.



Street Leagues

A big thank you to Frank Gallogly and his committee for organsing and running our annual street leagues

on saturday which was deemed a great success. Massive thanks to Dave Reid who is never seen without a camera in his hands at a GAA event for all

these amazing photographs! A brilliant day was had by all at this year's Street Leagues yesterday.

Thanks to all the boys and girls who entered the leagues, their team mentors, the volunteers and organisers who helped make the day a great success. Black & Amber Book Launch

Dunshaughlin GAA Club will launch its history of GAA in the parish on Saturday 10th October at the Black Bush Golf club. The event begins at 7.30 p.m. and GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail will officially launch the book. The book, Black and Amber: A History of the GAA in the Parish of Dunshaughlin 1886-2014, covers the GAA in the parish since 1886 and runs to 700 pages with twenty-two chapters and seventeen appendices. There are over 500 pictures/illustrations, most in colour. The book contains details not just on Dunshaughlin but on Royal Gaels, Drumree and St. Martins also while there are sections on Dunshaughlin Handball Club, camogie, club officers down the years, team line outs for county semi-finals and finals for all clubs in the parish and extensive records of Gaelic games in the parish schools, St. Seachnall’s NS, Culmullen NS, Gaelscoil na Rithe and Dunshaughlin Community College.The authors who compiled the original Black and Amber in 1984, Jim Gilligan and Patsy McLaughlin, have authored the new edition also. All interested are invited to the launch in the Black Bush Golf Club on Saturday 10th October at 7.30 p.m.





Men on the Move

Meath Local Sports Partnership`s Men on the Move project is back this September 2015. Men on the Move is a free physical activity based programme rolled out over 12 weeks in 2 blocks of 6 weeks. The aim of the programme is to provide men aged 30 plus with more opportunities to become physically active. Other components of the programme include fitness testing, healthy eating, maintaining lifestyle changes and stress management.

Ladies



Following a determined fight back the U15s Division 1 side just ran out of time as they drew with Donaghmore Ashbourne away in round 4 of their league on Saturday. Match report : http://dunshaughlingaa.com/royalgaels/reports/royal-gaels-v-donaghmore-ashbourne/Our Under 15 Reserves continue with their winning streak. They came away with a 5.22 to 1.02 victory over Wolfe Tones on Friday evening. Well done girls.

Despite a strong second half our Under 13's suffered their first defeat in their division 1 league on Tuesday night against Na Fianna. Final score Royal Gaels 8.06 Na Fianna 8.15. Both teams had to work very hard for every score on the board. Under 13's next game is against Dunboyne. Date to be confirmed shortly

Another date for your diary everyone! Our 2015 Feile Team will be presented with their medals after a day at Tayto Park and a presentation at The Pastoral Centre on Sunday October 4th. Everyone is welcome to the presentation at The Pastoral Centre which will take place at 5.30pm. Food and soft drinks will be provided. We look for ward to seeing you there.





Gaelic of Mothers and Others (G4M&O

Best of luck to our Gaelic of Mothers and Others (G4M&O) who will be taking to the pitch on Sunday at half time in the Ladies TG4 All Ireland Senior Championship in Croke Park to play an exhibition game. We know the ladies are really looking forward to it and hope they enjoy their day in Croke Park.
