MATCH NEWS
Our First football team had a good start to the league on Sunday with a win against ST. Brigids away while our
second team also had a good start with a win over Skerries Harps away.
The 3rd team had a very good win away to templeogue ss they won by 11 points with Alan Byrne scoring 3-2
Maurs Minor hurlers had a good win over Naomh Mearnog 3-14 to 0-6 on away Sunday.
Well done to Naomi Clare who represented the Club at Inter County level with the Dublin Minor Football team against
Westmeath where she picked off two points herself helping Dublin to a win of 5-10 to 2-7.
Jack Burke and Craig Fortune both represnted Dublin Minors.
Our Under 13 Camoige team began their league campaign last Sunday morning with an away fixture against Faughsn
winning by 15-6 to 1-0.
Maurs U13 footballers won away to Templeogue Synge Street on Saturday with a score of 3-6 to 5-8.
Our U11 hurlers had a good win over St Pat’s Palmerstown at home on Saturday with a score of 8-05 to 1-0
Well done to the St. Joeseph's school Junior and Senior teams who won Leinster titles with Maurs players making up the majority of the teams that took to the field this week. Well done to the players, teachers and school.

IN THE NEWS
I think we can all say that the dedication of all mentors, helpers and committee members at junior level are all bearing the fruits to the level of work and commitment that goes into the junior section of our club. It has been an ongoing program for the last 15 years in the club and great to see it in safe hands and guidence. It continues to produce a high level of junior players at all ages. The future is bright for St. Maurs and a special mention and thanks to the people behind the scenes who all play a part is truly deserved. Hon the Maurs.
The 2nd team footballers are running a Comedy Night fundraiser tonight February 28th in the St. Maurs Clubhouse.
Featuring on the night will be 3 top comedians from the Irish comedy circuit. Tickets are €10 and will be available
through Liam Butterly (0879771532), Derek Farren (0868474499), and also through all 2nd team players.
All funds are much appreciated and will go to team fees for the year including referees, injuries and equipment
etc. Thanks, and we all hope to see you on the night.
Great night was had by all at the large turn out for the Club Family quiz with over 29 tables competing on the
night.The Sam Mc Guire also visited the club along with our two Dublin players Luke Fletcher and Ciaran Reddin and
some great pictures were taken thanks to Leo Bissett which can be seen on the Club Face book account.
Gormanstown finished up for another year so thanks to all our players who put in a great effort over the last six
weeks and thanks to the parents who travelled each week many of them who carried out multiple trips.
Our Ladies Football team are looking for a help out with the coaching so if you are able to and would like to
volunteer an hour or two a week please contact the manager Craig Mulligan or leave a message with the club office.
