IN THE NEWS
Well done to Maurs Ciaran Reddin who played for Dublin on Sunday and picked off two points in the first half against Westmeath. Congrats to our Minor players who represented the club at inter county level over the weekend Jack Burke and Craig Fortune for the footballers and Eoin Conroy for the hurlers.
Great night was had in the Club on Saturday night with the Annual Players awards night well done to Derek Farren and the social committee on organizing a night that only gets better each year. Congrats to Derek Farren on being awarded the Club person of the year award on the night.
St. Maurs Annual Table Quiz will be held on Thursday 20th of Febuary ( mid term break week ) , proceeds will go to our Feile 2014 Teams.
On the night we will have the Sam Maguire in the club so a large welcome is open to all members to come along join the fun and get your photos with the cup.
The 2nd team footballers are running a Comedy Night fundraiser on February 28th in the St. Maurs Clubhouse. Featuring on the night will be 3 top comedians from the Irish comedy circuit. Tickets are €10 and will be available through Liam Butterly (0879771532), Derek Farren (0868474499), and also through all 2nd team players.
All funds are much appreciated and will go to team fees for the year including referees, injuries and equipment etc. Thanks, and we all hope to see you on the night.
Next tues evening Feb 11, Paudie Butler will give a coaching workshop at St Maurs. This is highly recommended for all current and prospective hurling coaches.
Our Ladies Football team are looking for a help out with the coaching so if you are able to and would like to volunteer an hour or two a week please contact the manager Craig Mulligan or leave a message with the club office.
