WEEKEND RESULTS

Junior Hurling C'Ship St. Maurs v O'Tooles
Great performance from Maurs hurlers as they beat O'Tooles by 2..14 to 2..3 in Junior hurling championship It was a special day for one Maurs family when Adam Kennedy came on for Maurs to join his father Paul on the team.

St. Maurs v Lucan Sarsfields M.HLwhile St. Maurs came out second best in this game there were some excellent performances from the Rush team with Colin Halpin Craig Fortune, Kevin Nugent, Eoghan Ryan and Kevin Reade playing well. Some good scores from Danny Butterly, Craig Fortune and Kevin Reade kept Maurs in touch but Lucan hit a few very good goals and this proved the difference.

Well done to Maeve Bogan who represented the club at Inter County level on Saturday when she was part of the Dublin U13’s Camogie team that beat Kilkenny 4 - 4 to no score.

St Maurs u15 ladies footballers with there New Jersey’s big thanks to Hacketts butchers had a great first win in them beating Ballinteer. Well done girls super effort.

U14,hurlers were in feile action at Thomas Davis . They opened with a defeat to Kevin's but as in the football rallied afterward with a big win against wild geese and then rounded off the morning with a nail biting win against the host club in a robust contest.
This qualified us for the semi finals away to plunketts . Unfortunately with injuries and tired legs the Maurs lads were beaten by a very good plunketts team. Overall though great performances by our u14s in a memorable feile year for ST. Maurs

Our U12 Footballers lost out to St. Vincents away on Saturday. The team were coping well till the corner stone of our defense Robert Halpin had to leave the pitch injured after falling badly on his elbow. We all wish Robert a full and speedy recovery.

U11 2 team footballers were at home to Clontarf on Saturday where they won one game and lost the other.
The Under 8 camogie team had five fantastic wins against Lucan in their blitz. It was a glorious morning in Rush and very enjoyable for everyone. The girls played their hearts out and put on a magnificent show. Kerri Austin's chip over the bar from play was undoubtedly a high point. Congratulations to all the Maurs players and keep practising!

Well done to Rush National School senior boys team who had great success when they took on local rivals St Patricks Ns Skerries in Fingal league final during the week.
