Numbers drawn for the 16k jackpot were 10,15,23,29 with the 50 euro lucky dip winners being
George Kerslake, Kathleen Keeley, James Lewis, Helen McGuinness, James Andrews.
Numbers drawn for the 2,250 Jackpot were 6,27,29,30 .
Next weeks Jackpots will be 16,000 and 2,500 euro respectively.
IN OTHER NEWS Maurs Juvenile hurling section gave a very good account of them selves in Gormanstown indoor Hurling tournament this year and made a statement about the strength of Hurling at under age level throughout the club. Thanks go to Canice, Peter, Ann and all the Juvenile mentors who have put in a mammoth effort over the last six weeks. St. Maurs came second in the over all league of clubs in the Tournament with the U11’s under Colin Mc Cann, Nigel Fulham and Ciaran Bogan winning their own league outright. Maurs also won the player of the tournament award which went to our star player Finbarr Harford.
In their first league match the 1st Senior team came away with a draw in a very tight game against Thomas Davis. Their next match is against St. Vincents away next Sunday @ 11.00 am in the St. Vincents de Paul Group 2. Our second team lost out to Peregrines away while our 3rd team also lost out to St. Patricks @ home. Maurs Minor Hurling team had a walk over @ home when the opposition failed to turn up in what would have been there first ever match.
Our Senior Hurlers are @ home next Sunday to O Tooles @ 11.00.
Well done to Jane Butterly, Sally Ann O Brien, Niamh Conway and Leona Harford who played on the Loreto Balbriggan school team that won the Leinster Vocational Schools Championship. Our U16 F/ballers lost out to Naomh Fionnbarra while our U14 F/ballers lost out to Good Counsel. Maurs U13 F/ballers lost out to Naomh Barrog while our U12’s lost out to Skerries Harps in both games. Maurs U10 hurlers played St. Peregines @ home where the Maroon team won with Daniel Thorne getting man of the match .The Gold team lost out after a great effort with standouts being Evan Mackle and Nicholas Heffernan. Our U9 hurlers had a good win over St. Finnians away.
ST. Maurs GAA Club is currently collating a registry of Trades and Professions for our Website to promote the local economy by listing details and contacts of members and associates who might want to promote their business’s. The Club will be holding its last membership registration day of the year next Saturday @ 11.00 to 1.00 pm or alternatively register on line on the clubs website. The Ball Wall has been manufactured and in order to facilitate training and reduce construction damage the installation date is set for the last week of March or first week of April.
