We had no winner of our Lotto Jackpot for €11,950 last Sunday night in Ted McHugh's. We had three match 3 winners -  Kathleen O'Sullivan (Parks), Ronan Keady (Ower), TJ Keady (Ower). Numbers drawn were 2-5-11-12. Promoter's prize went to Geraldine Geraghty. Next week's draw will be for €12,100 and will be in the Angler's Rest on Sunday night. Our club AGM takes place on Friday the 28th of November at 8pm in the clubhouse, all members are asked to attend. Our U15s came up just short by 2 points in the league final replay vs Menlough in Williamstown. The game started in similar fashion to last week when we got the first score of the game with a Conor Walsh point from play. We had plenty of possession after that score but failed to add to the scoreboard and were punished by a Menlough goal. Two more points from play from Conor Walsh and Sean Monaghan drew us level before a second Menlough goal left us 3 points behind again. We dominated most of the half and two more points from play from Conor Walsh and Darren Higgins and a goal by Cathal Roddy saw us 2 points up with minutes remaining to half time. However another Menlough attack on the stroke of half time drew a great save from Robert Forde but their corner forward scored from the rebound to leave them a point to the good 3 00 to 1 05. Menlough came out firing on all cylinders at the start of the second half and used their wind advantage to open up a commanding lead to score 2 04 without reply and led 5 04 to 1 05 with 10 minutes to go. The introduction of 4 subs freshened us up and with our backs to the wall we rallied back. Louis McGeehan gained us vital possession and 3 goals from Cathal Roddy left just 2 points between the teams with the game entering injury time. It was all Headford at this stage and we were awarded 1 last free deep into injury time. Mike O Brien lobbed it in to the goal area and it was finished to the net by Louis McGeehan but after some deliberation the goal was disallowed. Final score Menlough 5 04 Headford 4 05. Again we did not make things easy for ourselves by allowing Menlough a big lead but fair play to the lads for never giving up and keeping going until the end. These games will make them a stronger unit for the U16 season next year. Well done to all on overall a great year and thanks to parents for their support and help throughout the season. All sizes of Club jerseys now in stock.
