Well done to Cathal Newell, James O'Brien and Luke Costello who have made the initial North Galway Ted Webb (u-16) squad.

Our second team won their third league game in a row to sit top of the table, above Claregalway on scoring difference, after defeating Athenry 0-15 to 0-8 on Sunday.
Four Padraic Walsh frees and three points from play by Evan Flynn had us 0-7 to 0-5 up at half time.
Athenry drew level, 0-7 all, after the break but it was all Headford after that as we kicked eight points in a row, with the visiting team being held scoreless for twenty minutes. Athenry got a late consolation point. Our second half scores came from Christy Day, Kevin Carey, Steve Monaghan (0-2) and Padraic Walsh (0-4, 2f). Best for us were Ronan Browne in his first game since 2008, Padraic Walsh and Evan Flynn after completing the Corrib Duathlon less than 24 hrs earlier.

Team- Kevin Lee, Ger Fahy, Bryan Carey, Cathal Thornton, Kevin Carey, Ronan Browne, Ronan Higgins, Fergus Collis, Evan Flynn, Noel Gibsey, Ronan Biggins, Steven Monaghan, Padraic Walsh,Christy Day, Justin Ryan.
Our first team play their next league game this Saturday away to Corofin at 6pm.
U-16s beat Killererin 2-14 to 1-2 last Tuesday in a good team performance. Seán Moran was excellent at full back with James O'Brien very good in midfield and young Kevin Dooley played well when he came on in corner forward. This was their last regular league game until after the exams as they have now qualified for the league.

The u-14’s played Dunmore in the League Shield Semi-Final last night in Headford, report next week.

The u-10’s played Dunmore in a series of games last Monday with some great football on display. Thanks to Dunmore for travelling to Headford.
