We had no winner in our Facebook Live lotto draw for a €19,800 jackpot on Sunday night. Numbers drawn were 16,21,29,36. We had two match 3’s- Emma Conneely, Galway: Angela O Brien, Cloughanover, Headford.
Next lotto draw will be on Sunday September 15th on Facebook Live at 9pm and the jackpot will be €19,950. Tickets can be bought on our website and in Tesco, Monaghan's Centra, The Trading Post, Ted McHugh's, The Angler's Rest and Varley's.
Our Juniors play Athenry on Saturday at 6pm in Headford in their third and final group game. The winner will have a home game in the semi final in two weeks time. All support welcome
U-19's played Gael na Gaillimhe last Wednesday in Headford in their final game of the season, losing 2-7 to 0-9.
U-17 A team played neighbours Caherlistrane in their North Board semi final and unfortunately lost after extra time, 1-16 to 0-21. Played in front of a crowd of over five hundred people, it was pure entertainment from start to finish.
We led at half time 1-10 to 0-6 with the wind. Ten minutes into the second half we were reduced to fourteen players and we ended up playing forty minutes with a player less than the opposition. Even at that it looked like we might hold on in normal time but two late Caherlistrane points snatched a draw. Injuries to key forwards took its toll in extra time and we fell short by two points. Hard luck to our players and management.
Best of luck to Caherlistrane in the final.
Our U-17 B team played Barna at home on Sunday and were beaten by a stronger team.
U-14's played Milltown at home in their first game, winning by four points, 6-16 to 7-9.
U-12's played Caltra away on Sunday and after a superb team performance won 3-10 to 0-8.
